Join this, the first "Let's Talk" panel for HEART this spring to learn what Holly and Julie think is new and exciting in the world of scent work.
Ask your questions (either live or ahead of time if you can't join us on the 27th) and join the conversation.
We anticipate that the conversation will last about an hour and we know it will be thought-provoking and useful to you in your nose work journey. And, Holly and Julie have lots of experience in a variety of things dog - so if we go off track it's likely valuable anyhow!
Holly Bushard
Holly started her extensive understanding of scent work with dogs as a narcotics dog handler with a police department. She is now a judge, competitor and coach. Having had the opportunity to work with many breeds doing nosework has made Holly not only a super handler but helps her understand the wide variety of challenges teams face. As a judge with three venues (AKC, CPE, and NACSW) she has a clear understanding of what is expected at a competitive level. Watching and helping teams enjoy the journey of nosework is sure to put a smile on her face and getting to be part of that. Holly loves watching joyful teams exploring and playing with all the challenges this game has to offer and getting to help them do better, with more joy is the icing on the cake for her!

Julie Symons
Julie has been involved in the dog world for over 25 years teaching and competing in a wide variety of sports. She's trained and competed in conformation, agility, obedience, herding and tracking, and nosework. Julie's teaching has mainly focused on nosework since 2012 although her strong foundations in so many sports are apparent through much of her work. Creating versatile, positive and happy teams is her goal for each of you and her constant work to learn more and do better is apparent in everything she does. Her simple truth? "People just really love their dogs and enjoy doing activities with them." Julie always gives more than 100% of herself to her students learning and development. Learn more about Julie here.
