On Your Own  (Blazing your own trail forward tackling goals in traditionally non-R+ sports. )

(Chelsey Protulipac presenter/ Ayoka Bubar moderator)

This webinar will provide a systematic approach to gathering information, support, and solutions for those forging their own positive path in sports that are not known for a positive approach.  Hear  about Chelsey's personal journey and learn practical and applicable techniques to bring to your training experience.

Ring Sports, herding and fieldwork, as well as many horse activities,  often rely on what is often called traditional training methods. Navigating those training challenges when determined to be as positive as possible is difficult.

Being positive is hard sometimes. Identifying as an R+ trainer can be even more challenging.

Discover how to navigate the challenges in your chosen sport with grace while holding true to your own values.

Chelsey Protulipic (Presenter)

Chelsey started training dogs by teaching pet owners how to work with their dogs. As her ability to work with a wide variety of other people's dogs grew so did her understanding and commitment to positive, reinforcement-based training. Creating the most effective, efficient, and kindest way to build a  positive relationship between a dog and a human became an important goal.

As a successful dog sport competitor in many venues including competitive obedience, French ring sport. and agility  Chelsey's common sense, thoughtful approach is inspiring better training in all those who cross paths with her. Her passion and ability to find practical solutions to training problems in both sport and life using smart applications of positive reinforcement is inspiring and informative.

Living with eight very different dogs (herding, sporting and guarding breeds)  Chelsey knows that each dog is unique and worthy of her full attention and thought.

Ayoka Bubar (Moderator)

Ayoka is a  CPDT - KA and an approved Canadian Association of Rally Obedience (CARO) Judge. She has been a  dog training instructor since 2008. Training and showing in a variety of performance venues including agility, tracking, herding, and rally obedience and conformation has really helped her understand the way breaking things down and seeking clarity in instruction and competing can lead to success.

Rottweilers are her passion and her two beautiful girls are herding, and playing other sports with joy and success.
